Fed’s Stanley Fischer Discusses Big-Bank Political Influence – WSJ

http://www.wsj.com/articles/BL-REB-29646

That’s okay Mr. Fischer. So were Larry Kudlow, Jim Cramer, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and myriad others.

At least you are man enough to admit it instead of rationalizing your error. That is good. You are not infallible and as Billy Joel once said ” We are human beings. We are supposed to make mistakes.”

When will we have the safety of a financial system that isn’t placing generations of Americans money at risk again?

According to this Professor, when people understand the problems and demand solutions. But shouldn’t this be tasked to our elected leaders? Especially to those who sit on special committees to focus on banking and other financial entities? In theory, yes. After all, it is hard enough to supervise our own personal finances, let alone be required to micro manage the public servants we hired to do the job, right?

Unfortunately, the sad news is the work isn’t being done. Our only recourse has been trying to make sense of the applicants campaigning to be hired every four years. Primarily based on information purchased and controlled by special interest groups, that have a vested and often conflicting interest in things not being done to correct the industry.

So we will have to ride shotgun, and be vigilant ourselves to see to it the work is done. Since the people can’t all move to D.C., and shouldn’t have to, our best recourse will be working through the state offices of the leadership we hire.

We have to become more involved, and better informed on what is going on. An election season is the worst time to try to get information and make educated decisions that have tremendous power over our daily lives, and future generations.

The good news is, this 15 minute video by a banking researcher, author, and educator Anat Admati from Stanford University is freely providing a lay persons informational talk for us. It is to our own financial peril that we don’t avail ourselves of this opportunity to listen, and learn.

Thank you for visiting this site, and giving the subject your serious attention. We are all in this together. Economics happen to be politically neutral. But it can be perverted and poisoned by those who attempt to influence policy in their favor, over the best interests of the consumers and citizens. It is a good investment to become informed !

Chuck Yeager Survives Airplane Malfunction; Finds Cause to be Disobedience

It began simply enough. A bank used my land for a down payment to my tenants, for a $60,000. loan.

They had not been good tenants. Unable to pay $405. a month rent, the bank gave them a $600. a month loan.

A simple title search would have shown the land they used as a down payment didn’t belong to them. But in the War of 1998, such small technicalities didn’t matter.

When I demanded bank records, the bank said they were “lost or missing”.
So I chased them. From Gainesville, to Virginia. Then to New York where the records had allegedly been shipped to a Texas warehouse. Finally, they were sent to Tampa. The man in charge was on vacation but a young lady checked it out. “Oh my God! You are right, I can’t find title insurance to show the customer owns the land. My boss will call you straight away!!”

He didn’t. But when I left word I was coming over with a sheriff, he decided to inform me he didn’t have custody. He had shipped the records to Jacksonville the day before.

That worked for me, the head of the Florida bank was there.

When she was advised a “bolt” was “upside down” in national mortgages, she disappeared quicker than the records did.

A deluge of consumer complaints to Tallahasse led insiders to wonder. Why was everyone out to lunch, jetting about in private planes while the “factory” was churning defective mortgages out all over the nation?

I was called Chicken Little for running about saying the sky was falling from the undoing of Glass-Stegall.

Finally, I discovered the secret fax number to Dallas where the President flew in to check on all the Rico complaints. A lovely lady called me very upset. She said she had just gotten back from a much needed vacation to big trouble.

She said Ken Lewis had slammed a folder with my faxes on her desk, demanding she “Get Rid of this!!”

Her call was to find out how she could help me. I asked for copies of the Jacksonville file. She called me a few days later saying Jacksonville said no and she should not call again trying to violate “customer privacy” laws.

Instead of confronting a defective process as General Yeager did, the CEO and President not only made money selling junk, they were a paid salvage yard to pick up the scraps and make money on the crashes.

It was so crazy, so profitable, banks and sovereign nations around the world wanted a piece of this new “innovative banking”.

They got in, as the pioneers one by one slipped quietly out. When people owe more than equity owned, we had always called that being “upside down”.

When I sought regulatory, legislative, judicial, academic, media assistance I was told no. Because all the planes were flying high, as new ones were being manufactured and launched by the minute. “SOMEBODY else would have spotted this instead of you. I don’t have time for this!!!” I heard time after time.

“Fine. But write this date down and mark my words. You will see it!!” I angrily replied on more than one occasion.

“When? You have been badgering us for years!! When?!”  was the scoffers fall back question.

When Blue Sky is over and everybody crashes in the storm was my default answer.

One day though, before leaving, my best friend in the world told me nobody liked me. That hurt. But I could think of a hundred reasons why.

But when I asked why I didn’t see this answer coming….

“We don’t believe in Blue Sky.”

One bolt. Upside down. A Global catastrophe. We still will not have a final body count for many, many more years. Today is a stormy day for the markets. It won’t be the last. Because if we failed to realize Blue Skies were not going to last forever, we shouldn’t believe dark and cloudy ones will either.

           This Too Shall Pass.

My Political Rant

According to the University study this spring, what the voters do or say hovers between “statistically insignificant” & “to near zero”, so I am not investing in cleaning this up editorially.

It is an off the cuff rant that will be as effective as the proverbial teaspoon of water on a brush fire. We are in global scorched earth territory, and the arsonists have grown more, not less powerful. I was taught as a career professional that one shouldn’t be venting one’s spleen in public.

I was also taught criminals were never above the law from the common, to blue or even white collar. Both teachings have failed in our precious Nation, so I just haul off & vent my frustration anyway. People pleasing is near zero effect in my motivations anymore. So here it is :

This is even *worse* than socialism. They not only did wealth redistribution, but the poor according to #s, many are employed & were former middle class!! The elites $$ made out like bandits, the middle class “dreams” turned into 1.5 homeless children sleeping in cars or worse, 9 million hungry sr. citizens, etc. The crooked banksters that caused this got off scott free, Eric Holder & deputy Lanny B. Worked for the big law firm white collar criminal DEFENSE before, LB is back working there!!!!

The 1% are the beneficiaries of the recovery, the *encouraging* jobs # just out, is not squaring with reality. It leaves out the ppl so distressed can’t even afford to look for work!! According to Investors Business Daily polls 26% of all households have unemployed that need work. That is 1 in 4 for those who were deprived of Common Core math (but probably did have a roof over your head when school age)!!!

The American dream is a living hell nightmare for 10’s of millions of Americans. Without Business being able to trust they are getting the truth, and knowing the crooks that crashed the World Economy have gotten riskier not honest by this administrations “Too Big To Jail” policies….they can’t risk funding job creation.

Moreover, former Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke, preparing his testimony for AIG trial going on now said…

The Banks had been WORSE than the Great Depression!!!!

Crooks & Liars have destroyed Democracy (according to a joint study by Princeton & Northwestern Universities America is not democracy/socialism etc we ARE an oligopoly…not even heading toward being one).

These filthy con ppl should stay away from our youth. They are corporate pimps & whores for $$$. The “disadvantaged & struggling” that bought the disastrous dream/hope/change lies were merely led into deeper & deadlier quality of life quick sands.

Jesus asked what Father if the child asks for fish or bread, would give a stone or a snake.

Snake oil salesmen are, for Great D.C. Fathers, that would p!ss on the graves of our Founding Fathers if they were Republicans. Libertarians they wouldn’t waste their time.

Pinellas County Dem’s threw black Rev. Sykes under the bus just this year for not knowing his place and wanting better.

If Dem’s wanted the GOP to soften, why do they work so hard to flip GOP that agree with them? God forbid they stayed in the Party & worked for change from within! It is about power & not race. The only colors they love are gold, silver, or USD “greenbacks”. I no longer see elephants or donkeys.

The parties today are BOTH full of sheep & goat experts. The one half to fleece us, the other half to milk us.

This is long winded but as Reagan once said “This is so foul as to make bile rise from my guts to the back of my throat.” Quote is approximate because tired of political correctors on both sides catching mini minnow errors & spinning them into tornadoes,

while completely ignoring killer whales devouring our young peoples future if the predator happens to have “their” party brand on its hide!!!

To the Victors Go the Spoils. The War of 1998.

image

This website replaced the one that was up in 1999. The forerunner featured one case of bank fraud. Their side of the story and my side.

Law enforcement had to yield by March of 2002. It became far too dangerous, and Florida had already involved National politicians that were promising to contain an epidemic that had reached “epic proportions”.

In his book entitled McColl, the Man with Americas Money that was endorsed by Bill Gates, General Chuck Yeager, and Former President George Bush, McColl detailed his battle with the State of Florida in 1998.

Charlotte banker Hugh McColl describes how planeloads of attorneys tried to keep him out of Florida. He describes his contempt for rule of law, Washington and Wall Street, and said He could break any nation that dared to oppose or challenge his power.

Through employing private troops to silence whistleblowers, an enemies list, and what he said was an inherited mental illness that made him the most feared and aggressive predator in the world, his lethal campaign of fear had paid off. He said his paranoia had enslaved him and robbed him of his freedom. Rather than recant, he decided to retire a mere few doors down to supervise the protege he entrusted with his coveted enemies list.

McColl said as a Southerner, he never went against the wishes of his father. He wanted to be a farmer. But his dad made a few calls to North Carolina banking connections instead telling him, “You are too stupid to be a farmer.”

As his power amassed and he realized the key to success in stealing a march on the world was in Florida, and especially a woman whose charm and good looks would take South American men “by surprise”, McColl liked to unwind by drinking “stingers” with his feared troops.

Floridians were taken by surprise in the War of 1998. Americans were stung by a tyrant that said peace was repulsive to him and he had no intention of growing old gracefully. It is sad that in the (you tube) special “Meltdown : The Men Who Crashed the World”, not a peep was uttered by The Man With Americas Money who claimed to have stolen a March on the global economy in 1999. The suffering people of America, and throughout the world should at least be entitled to ask favors as he freely accesses the White House still.

For it is far too late to change the history of his father choosing banking instead of farming, or his Letter to the Editor pleading for Americans to elect Senator Barak Obama and save the nations financial future.

It is too late to reign in the banks that were led to hold Americas economy hostage. It is not too late to ask The Man With Americas Money why he crashed the world with a flawed business model to “burn your icons” and “carry away your firstborn”.

Or why his Presidential plan to restore American icons after destruction in his crematorium of political fire, never quite magically happened.

Though don’t expect the Truth. He claims “The Mind of the South is tell a Beautiful lie, over and over again until everyone believes it is true.” Then, blame everything on Washington and Wall Street.

Surely, The Man With Americas Money has failed the fame he so desperately courted in 1999. Surely he will relish explaining, why he threw it in the fire. And why the future of American youth captured on the Florida battlefield in his War of 1998, might be released.

The answer may be as obfuscated as an Eric Holders speech on why prosecutorial discretion was abdicated for Too Big to Jail Banketeering hijinks.

Flasbacks: Dreams & Nightmares

Marcy Kaptur, Ohio, in action!
http://youtu.be/zOZTXqtph3E

image

This clip reminds me of the John Lennon song “Imagine”.

Can you imagine how different America would be if Marcy Kaptur had been the Attorney General the last three Presidential Administrations?

She would have demanded “Nip it in the Bud!” like Barney Fife always urged Sheriff Andy to do in Mayberry.

I remember working on these things in 1999 & 2000. Due to homelessness (that I chose to work on the bank fraud), I often used a Swiss friends computer. One day he demanded I sit down and show him what was going on.

At the end of his presention I gave to him, he slapped his head, hung his head, and growled ferociously “Ahhhh! No Judge in All of Europe would let them get away with this!!!”

Maybe not. But Europe, as did a lot of the rest of the world had to pay a price.

Hank Paulson in the videos “The Men Who Crashed the World” continued to tell world leaders we had no idea a bank failure in New York would set the earth on a collision course with economic pain and suffering.

Really? Because I remember a Swiss National with tears in his eyes, praying we could stop the bad guys back one dreadful summer afternoon in 1999.

For sure McColl, The Man With Americas Money (the book is available on Amazon) knew. He spelled out every little detail in his 1999 book of his grand experiment. McColl, Ken Lewis, Alex Sink, these three did everything possible to ambush Florida, D.C. and Wall Street. He said if the experiment failed they would be long gone by the time the world found out.

Too bad, because they did slink off Scott free. Too bad the 4 part series “The Men Who Crashed the World” didn’t expose what a Swiss man knew in 1999. Too bad God did not see fit to make Marcy Kaptur Attorney General of the United States instead of an Ohio Congresswoman. Too bad the Swiss man had to leave town for surgery.

Too bad Attorney General Eric Holder passed out “get out of jail free cards” to the crooks. Too bad *Nobody* saw 9 million American senior citizens going hungry, and 1 million American homeless school children crying they wanted to go home at night.

Yep. It is all too bad. But onetime, I slept in a tiny cold bathtub listening to the song “Imagine” in my mind. I used it as a lullaby. The nightmare I was living, and later Hank Paulson and the world, could not be happening.

Martin Luther King had a dream. So did billions of people across the world. And too bad, this type of exchange, was not it.

May God Bless the U.S.A., and peoples of the world in fear, pain, and suffering. May He judge the liars that have fed this meltdown, with all the wrath of an outraged Marcy Kaptur and more.

Shalom.

A Tale of Two Cities – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Tale_of_Two_Cities

Interesting, “! This page has some issues”

As do I so the topic is appropriate. For many years, former friends and acquaintances would cross the street rather than chance an encounter with me. Hiding behind fake smiles, and nervous body language it was often downright comical.

Even by telephone, by the fifth call that “Oh, someone’s at the door!” and “I was just getting to walk out the door when you called!” it becomes rather obvious you are being shown to the door. How sad people are unable to be candid and must resort to such artifices.

On occasion, I asked point blank why an adult felt compelled to run and hide as though they would be murdered in cold blood.

“Well, you can’t deny you have issues now.”

Yes, I do. I had just finished a three year forensic accounting project, that had dovetailed into a seven year rodeo with the BIG Wall Street Firm, when I ran smack dab into the National Bank Fraud epidemic.

Fear and intimidation tactics are illegal under both State and Federal laws. Yet be assured when Gangster Bankers arrive en masse, they make no bones about it. “Shut Up and Fish” or people will die. So yes, I had a lot of issues with that. I also had a lot of issues with a Government that not only encouraged such behaviour, but helped financially reward and make extremely profitable such antics.

Business isn’t always pretty. Business isn’t always nice. But to support flawed business models (and yes stealing, lying, cheating is flawed and it’s a dang shame that has to even be pointed out to some people), at the risk of dinging Americans 40% of their wealth in a 3 year period is grotesque.

There have been times that my “issues” have been settled informally via the most “ungentlemanly” types of agreements. Yet eventually as they were never written I forget, and the fight breaks out again.

Interesting when certain rednecks would talk about muslim religous hate back in 2000. I told them the only pissed off muslim I had ever met had told me point blank it had nothing to do with religion. “They name this town Gainesville! I call it Looserville!! You let these people get away with stealing everything? My hate is nothing to do with what god you worship, my hate is you lie and steal.” And despite my protests that we were actually fighting the same bums, he had no trust in American rule of law. According to him, we had two sets of laws. One for rich, and one for poor.

I disagreed with that man fervently. But of course I was only three years into the underbelly of the beast, and did not purchase McColl’s confessional book until March 2002.

Now the #justicegap and #incomeinequality are popular parlor and basement topics. My advocacy for a strong baby boomers middle class (to help elderly parents and millennial children), never was intended to be a seventeen year rant against the “machine”. Heck I thought I was part of the machine that worked pretty darn good. Not a dog to cower beneath a whip. This whole class warfare has been fueled and stoked by the Newly Minted Aristocracy so much, I thought of this book and guess who I thought of when I read this?

Repression is the only lasting philosophy. The dark deference of fear and slavery, my friend,” observed the Marquis, “will keep the dogs obedient to the whip, as long as this roof,” looking up to it, “shuts out the sky.

In fact I actually feel sorry for our President. He is not the first one, but rather the third one to be set-up by “The Man” I know has more “issues” than Carter has liver pills. Que Sera, Sera !
